While many area entertainment companies will tell you they carry Christian music, Joyful Sounds has been the premier Christian disc jockey service in the St. Louis area as an experienced disc jockey service since 1991.  John Scott formed the company while working for another large disc jockey company.  He had just come off of time spent as a talented musician touring the midwest with a secular band.  As his heart's conviction to serve his Lord wholly was calling him home and out of the bar/hotel resort scene into a more Godly environment, he took a job with a disc jockey service thinking performing at weddings would be more wholesome.  He soon discovered it was not and eventually formed Joyful Sounds to provide Christ-glorifying music to his clients.  With Joyful Sounds, the DJ and the music are Christian.Of course, not every wedding reception allows the playing of entirely 100 percent Christian music.  Joyful Sounds realizes this and carefully screens all the music that is played so it is fun and upbeat to dance to but won't offend your guests. You might just catch a glimpse of them out on the dance floor with a smile.

Vernon, etc. in Illinois; and, in Missouri, Jefferson City, Steeleville, Cape Girardeau, Columbia, etc. (but most are in the St. Louis/St. Charles area).
